Battle of Britain Memorial centre

Lincolnshire has much military history

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight operates a Lancaster, 5 spitfires, 2 Hurricanes, 2 Chipmunks and a Dakota. In 1986 after a unique arrangement between Lincolnshire County Council and the RAF, it became possible to view these historic aeroplanes at the base in Coningsby. These aircraft are all still operational and are regularly flown. Since 1986 over 300,000 people have visited the centre and received a guided tour of this piece of British history.

There are also plenty of children's activities taking place locally, click here
