Nene Valley Railway

Drop in on Thomas while you stay at Aunby! Come and take a ride with Thomas! A 15 mile ride on a steam train along the Nene Valley.

 Visit the website for timetables and special events. Booking is always a good idea. These trains are popular, especially at Christmas when Santa makes use of them.

Twin Lakes Leisure park in Melton Mowbray -  fun for all the family!The converted farm combines country pleasures with bags of entertainment for active children. Along with falconry and livestock, there are rides, slides and kart tracks. Peacocks wander through picnic areas. Battle of Britain Memorial centre

 
Lincolnshire has much military history The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight operates a Lancaster, 5 spitfires, 2 Hurricanes, 2 Chipmunks and a Dakota. In 1986 after a unique arrangement between Lincolnshire County Council and the RAF, it became possible to view these historic aeroplanes at the base in Coningsby. These aircraft are all still operational and are regularly flown. Since 1986 over 300,000 people have visited the centre and received a guided tour of this piece of British history

Morkery is a small peaceful ancient woodland which was used as ammunition and bomb store during the second world war (RAF South Witham). The network of hard tracks provides good all year round access for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. A small car park and picnic area is provided.
