Battle of Britain Memorial

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight operates a
Lancaster, 5 spitfires, 2 Hurricanes, 2
Chipmunks and a Dakota. In 1986 after a unique
arrangement between Lincolnshire County Council
and the RAF, it became possible to view these
historic aeroplanes at the base in Coningsby.
These aircraft are all still operational and are
regularly flown. Since 1986 over 300,000 people
have visited the centre and received a guided
tour of this piece of British history |
